Metal automatic feeder

Our metal feeders are expected to be available again from mid-February.

We offer this metal feeder in 2 different sizes. Both versions are made of galvanized sheet metal except for the lid and are very solidly built. Both metal feeders can be used either hanging or standing. The narrow feeding ring and the beaded edges ensure that the mess when feeding is kept to a minimum. The amount of chicken feed can be adjusted.

A rain cover can be ordered as an accessory for both machines. A metal tripod stand is also available for the 18 kg vending machine.

Tips for setting up the metal feeders

We recommend hanging up the feeder. This way, rodents have no chance of getting to the food. Although the feeder is quite stable, the rain roof forms a large lever. If a chicken tries to land on the edge of the rain roof, the small feeder may tip over. The best solution is therefore to hang the feeder up.

We recommend that our stable customers place automatic feeders in the stable or aviary. The feeders do have a rain cover – but in some areas, depending on the wind, the rain can fall at very oblique angles. Then even the roof won’t help. There is also less chance of sparrows discovering the feeder and raiding it regularly.
